Following her qualification she was sponsored to work within a clinic in Australia where she spent nearly four years before returning to the UK to spend a further two years working in an NHS setting. Working within the NHS meant dealing with a high risk caseload of complex systemic medical conditions and foot pathology.
Prior to podiatry Rowena holds a strong background within the health and fitness industry – with qualifications in fitness coaching, personal training, and nutrition. She is an enthusiastic runner and endurance athlete and has been fortunate to participate in various sporting events around the world including the Comrades marathon in South Africa and Ironman Wales. Rowena is a conscientious practitioner who enjoys being able to help others. She has a little boy who occupies most of her time but still manages to get out with the buggy for a run around the loch!
